We had our first breakfast experience Thursday morning. I had an inkling that it was gonna be good based on past reviews. So we find our parking out on the street because from the main road you can't see that there is more than enough parking right down the hill in front of the restaurant. We walked in and were met by a friendly girl who was accommodating to my picky seating needs so I "wouldn't be cold." We browsed the menu...gotta say that if I had...ONE...and, only one complaint...I don't care for the set up of the menu. It was not separated by breakfast and lunch. All of the dishes were intermeshed on both sides of the menu making it slightly more difficult to find items you may want or be looking for. So...I ordered the hash, the kiddo got the waffle and the last dish was the dish with chorizo (which we later found out is smoked in house). Oh...and the cinnamon rolls which are made right there on the counter in front of you. Baked in individual cast iron pans and brought to the table piping hot! Heavenly is an understatement! I am not exaggerating when I say that each individual item can be tasted and compliments the next perfectly. The entire experience was great. Oddly we wound up outside, which wound up being the 3rd table move...it, was beautiful and the sun came out while we were there making everything that much better. Give this place a try! Don't pass up the house made salsa either!

This is a one of a kind place, a must visit for locals and tourists. This is, by far, the best menu I've ever experienced. The copy has been crafted brilliantly. So many great options, you'll want to order your #2 option for a second meal later that day. The view over the harbor is refreshing. Enjoy

Came on a Sunday morning and had a short 10 minute wait for a table. Coffee was tasty and the special orange cinnamon rolls were very good. Happy with our food choices but agree with others that there are few vegetarian options. There are great options for the children's menu. We will definitely return.

Maybe I should keep my mind a bit more open, but when I order chicken and waffles- I expect a nice pile of fried chicken on a mountain of fluffy waffles. Instead, there were some pieces of grilled, season chicken on what I can only consider "okay" waffles. They're definitely going for something different here- a blend of classy and the classics- and while the location is prime, I would go here for a classy little brunch with the ladies when you're not too hungry rather than when craving a big old American breakfast.

Beautiful location. We ordered ricotta pancakes, pb&j waffles, stuffed biscuit, and the hash. Everything was excellent. Friendly staff. Didn't get the bacon cinnamon roll but that looked awesome. Highly recommend this spot. Breakfast with Parv

He came on Father's Day and it was super busy. We read great reviews so we were expecting to be blown away. We waited an hour and a half for a table for 5 on the deck and it took 10-15 minutes till someone greeted us. We ordered and waited 5 mins for one mimosa to come out... Not the two mimosas we ordered, just one delivered at the time. Waited 5 more minutes for waters, coffee, and second mimosa and she did not even come with my dad's beer. Food actually came out faster than I thought it would of. -We got stuffed biscuit - it was ok, nothing to rave about. -Chiqua... Can't spell it. My mom was wishing it had more egg. -ricotta pancake - it was good, but couldn't tell the difference between a regular pancake and that. -sausage burger - it was OK, nothing to rave about. -French toast? It was on sourdough, which was liked, but but a little too sweet. Mimosas were good, my sister loved the roast for espresso and restaurant has a soy option. Was never asked if we needed more water or more mimosas or a beer... Bill just came out so I guess we were done drinking there. It was nice to try and a nice view, but we will probably not come back. Place is also dog friendly.

This place blew my mind last Saturday. I honestly can't remember the last time I have been so pleased with a meal. Seriously. My boyfriend and I were talking about it all day. Everything is on point. The inside is so cute, clean and open. The restaurant is right on the water with gorgeous views. The walls are painted a nice light blue and there is a nice nautical theme going on inside. Service is very friendly and prompt. The kitchen is open and you can watch the chefs cook if you are seated at a table close enough. I had the sourdough and ricotta pancake. It came with two strips of bacon and potatoes O'Brien. I don't usually like potatoes O'Brien but these were dang good. The pancake was out of this world. Soft, fluffy, and melt in your mouth. Boyfriend had the chicken and waffles. I was expecting some deep fried chicken, but it was lightly fried and came with this spicy slaw that was to die for. I've had chicken and waffles before and I always thought they were gross and heavy, but this version of it blew my mind. It wasn't too heavy at all and the flavors were unique. The portions are a great size and are not too overwhelming. We both finished our meals and left very satisfied, but not overly stuffed. For 10:30 on a Saturday we didn't have to wait for a table which was impressive. You can't miss out on this gem if you want a to die for breakfast with excellent service and ambience. Also order the cinnamon rolls if you have room! Pretty much every table besides us got them and they looked so so good. We are definitely coming back and splitting the cinnamon rolls as an appetizer :)

Crossed the bridge into Gig Harbor on a lovely summer day to sit on their outdoor deck. What a lovely space it was with great views of the harbor and of Mt. Rainier. Pros: view, outdoor seating, and really good service. Cons: limited options for vegetarians (only sweets were available without meat) and average quality food and drinks. My husband and I ordered two egg dishes without all the meat. The quality was okay but honestly it was something you can get at ihop. The chia tea latte was bland and tasted mostly of milk and not the spice. The espresso was average also. Overall we wouldn't come here again unless we were craving a little patio time....it is great for that.

My handy dandy Yelp app pointed me in the correct culinary direction yet again, and I was more than pleased with myself for relying on it. Came here as the first stop to our Spring Break road trip to the Pacific Coast. We drove down and around to the Olympic Peninsula rather than taking the Edmonds ferry across, and stopped here for a late breakfast. The view was gorgeous, and we arrived around 9 just in the nick of time before the crowd arrived. My favorite was the delicious cinnamon rolls with BACON! (The "with bacon" part is a special offered only on weekends, I am told). It was a "skillet" of cinnamon rolls and honestly, I was surprised when it arrived at how small the skillet was However, they were pretty decadent rolls so splitting them amongst the 6 of us wasn't so bad. It's been about a month, so I can't recall exactly what it was that I ordered (I believe it was a pork hash but there is no menu online for me to verify). Anyways, I recall being extremely satisfied with the quality of the food. You can't go wrong!

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Gig Harbor. I have had at least half the items on the menu, front and back. And the service is ALWAYS outstanding. Last summer I went to Net Shed so often that many of the servers recognized me and would say welcome back. I'm a student now and can't afford to go very often, but they are still my favorite place to eat in the Harbor. The only thing I wish I could say was a little better is consistency. Some days I will get chilaqueles or the Rio Grand Scramble and find that either the chips are too crunchy or the dish overall isn't as flavorful as usual. I know every cook is different, but I just really wish cooking techniques and flavorings were more consistent so I could expect the same amazing dish EVERY time. But I love them so much I couldn't give them anything less than a five star review. FYI: Ricotta sourdough pancake is THEE BEST pancake you will have in your life. Even if you don't like pancakes, you will love it. Chicken and waffles have grilled chicken because the zoning for the block their restaurant is located in does NOT permit deep drying in that area of the block. So if you want hearty fried chicken atop your waffles, get it some place else. Still an awesome dish. Just not the same if you're expecting deep fried chicken. I normally don't like eggs at all but a friend ordered the Rio Grand Scramble one of the first times I came here. I had ordered french toast, but after having a bite of the Rio Grand Scramble, I REALLY wished I had ordered them instead. They are incredible. If you get any sandwiches (Ruben-esque Panini is my favorite) get a side of the green goddess salad no matter what. Amazing dressing and toppings (has blue cheese FYI in case you don't like blue cheese.)

This place was top notch... great food, amazing view and wonderful service. Get there early and get a table outside.

  • Lehua S.

This place is at an awesome location and has a great view if you sit outside. We all got the cinnamon rolls to start. When I think cinnamon rolls, I think really goey frosting, but these didnt have that, it was like they were lightly coated with melted sugar. Which is fine I guess, if you want sugar bread vs. actual cinnamon rolls. Im a vegetarian, so it was pretty limited on what I could eat here. I was definitely feeling more of eggs and starch since this was a hangover morning, so the waitress suggested I get the frittata without meat. I think the meat must really make the frittata worth eating, because it was really bland and mediocre. The o'brien potatoes that come with it too are just, eh. The have a really limited menu; I was wondering if I could get a biscuit on the side and that was not doable. They also don't serve hard alcohol, so no bloody marys... just red beer with no trimmings. I definitely wouldnt say this is the best breakfast/brunch place, but then again I am coming from a meat-less view.

Best breakfast on the planet. Stop scrolling and just go eat here. I'm super cereal! Cinnamon rolls? Check! best view coffee and mimosas

Very delicious! My wife and I decided to venture out of Kitsap county in search of a good Sunday brunch spot. Based on the great reviews we decided to give this place a try, and we were not disappointed. I had the French Toast and my wife had the Stuffed Biscuit. Both dishes were flavorful and arrived in a timely fashion. We were a bit disappointed we didn't get to try the maple bacon cinnamon rolls as they were out, but we will definitely return another day to give those a try.

  • Evan S.

Our favorite brunch spot in the Gig; my wife tries something different every time and loves it. I on the other hand, refuse to deviate from the Breakfast Burger, so delicious. Pro tip: If you are looking at a Sunday brunch, get there before 10:00am to beat the church brunch crowd. The casual eating atmosphere and short supply on seating (during inclement weather) make for a long outdoor wait at peak hours. Parking can also be a bit rough...

My daughter asks me almost every time we drive by, "when can we go back to Netshed?". It is one of Gig Harbor's finest and the owners and staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. They are elevated beyond your average diner food and appeal to those looking for a more inventive culinary experience. The location is beautiful and you won't be disappointed.

  • Karst B.

This is easily the best breakfast/brunch in the harbor. I grew up here and have since moved on, but when I'm home visiting family, it's the only place I go out for breakfast or brunch. Start with a skillet of cinnamon roles, just to get your appetite rolling, then I highly recommend the sausage stuffed biscuit, chilaquiles, or Rio Grande scramble. But really, everything on the menu is awesome! You will leave full and happy. The only problem is that Netshed is so popular, there may be a wait at the door. Trust me, it's worth it!

  • Julie L.

Can't say enough good things about this place! My husband and I went to Gig Harbor for the day and happened upon this place on the water. It was busy on a Sunday morning but we were seated very quickly. The food was fantastic. The location was wonderful. The service was spectacular. The one thing they could improve on? They could get a better cider- Angry Orchard doesn't seem up to their standards.

  • Thida N.

So delicious! The whole experience was excellent from the moment we walked in the front door :) the young man at the front started it off with hot coffee and brought chairs up for us to sit outside since there was a nip to the air outside. We got seated faster than expected and they had the maple bacon cinnamon rolls ready to go. They make their own hot sauce and they are delicious!!! We got the ricotta pancakes, chilaquilles, rio grande scramble :) all worth eating again. The wait staff were so friendly you almost didn't realize how efficient they were in the background. We will be coming back and bringing friends :)

Beautiful restaurant, great location and AWESOME service. I had the BLT and my husband had the pork hash. Yummy! My hash browns could have been cooked a tad more, but other than that...delicious meal! The coffee in particular was really top notch. We sat inside since it was still a tad chilly, but the big open deck is perfect for a pretty day with a beautiful view of the harbor. And side note, the deck is dog friendly!

My parents, boyfriend, and I visited Netshed No. 9 this morning for breakfast. Boy, was it delicious. Atmosphere: Nestled in a home off of Harborview Drive, Netshed No. 9 is absolutely darling. Despite the smaller space, tables are not on top of one another. There is also outdoor seating. It's not overdecorated - very simple and welcoming. They also have a patio for nicer days Food: Absolutely delicious. We ordered the mini-bacon cinnamon rolls to start. Yes, bacon was baked into the cinnamon roll - YUM. We then continued our meal with a ricotta pancake (see photo for ingredients), a stuffed biscuit, and sausage hash. I had the ricotta pancake, and it was absolutely delectable. The sea salt whipped cream and thinly sliced bacon are bonus items for this dish. The portions are a good size, so be prepared for a deliciously filling meal. Service: Our waitress was absolutely fantastic. We didn't get her name, but she is extremely bubbly, welcoming, funny, and awesome! We were well-attended to during the meal, but never felt like our table was always being visited by a staff person. All in all, this place is absolutely five stars. I can't wait to go back!

Wow, talk about the best breakfast in gig harbor. I had the ricotta pancake and I'll tell you what:) that was the best damn pancake I've had in a long time. I'll be back for sure next time in in Gig Harbor.

The Netshed never disappoints. We have only been there for breakfast, but look forward for a lunch visit one day. Staff is very friendly, food is made fresh and served without unnecessary delays. You can't beat the view!! Always order the cinnamon rolls!!!

  • James C.

Definitely a must! Don't let the simple menu fool you, they do an exceptional job at some rather standard dishes. Nice staff and good seating outdoors if you're lucky. This is a great spot for the foodie that's looking for something unique. My only criticism is that it can get loud.

  • Vance B.

11 of us had lunch overlooking the water. Nice setting. Mixed reviews on the food though. I seemed to be the one who was quite pleased with my food. I had the stuffed biscuit which was pretty amazing. The French toast came recommend but nobody in our group ordered it. All in all a good experience.

For an out of the ordinary breakfast menu and alternative to other local breakfast spots, definitely worth a try. Limited seating so arrive early or expect a wait.

I was pretty impressed with this place. I went here for a late breakfast/early lunch with a friend. The menu was fairly small, but each item was just a little different than what you might expect at a breakfast/lunch cafe. I got the Stuffed Biscuit, which had a sausage link inside, and came with "red gravy," which was more of a sauce than a gravy, but oh well. It was really good. Our waitress was attentive, the food was out quickly and presented very nicely - both my friend and I commented that we don't photograph our food often, but this was picture worthy. The restaurant itself was fairly small, and about 2/3 full while we were there, but didn't feel crowded. I don't live in the PNW, but if I did, I would be back here any time I wanted to enjoy a nice long meal with a friend.

Well, we were looking for something brunch-ish and stumbled on the Netshed No.9... In a word, "WOW" this place has been largely missed in the local spotlight very misfortunately as this place hits all five stars as a quality establishment should. The food was was a unique twist on classic brunch favorites with unconventional blends... Sourdough pancakes, Mexican infused omelets, and homemade hot sauces (yes, made in house right in front of us). The ambiance was classic NW dockside with waterfront seating perfect for pets and parties. The open kitchen offers a nice atmosphere with the staff exceptionally friendly and attentive in service. In typical NW craft brew aficionado they offer the finest local brews in Gig Harbor. The prices were around $10 a plate which was rather reasonable given the quality of product they offer. It was a perfect sunny day and a fortunate discovery for aimless brunch hunting after church. Will be back for sure.

Perfect quaint place on the water. The service was very personable and informative. The food was delicious! We split the cinnamon roll skillet as an appetizer. They were light and fluffy with just the right amount of cinnamon and sugar. The PB&J waffles were delicious with the slice of bacon for added flavor. We'll defiantly be back!

If I could give six I would have!! Amazing food on dock with a great view. We WILL be back for those cinnamon rolls and sweet tea!

The atmosphere is excellent. The food and beverages were delivered very quickly and we were checked on frequently. The staff is very friendly. The food presentation and taste is scrumptious. The restaurant creates a mixture of flavors which tantalize the senses distinctly.

Delightful, simplicity at it's finest. Short and simple menu, brunch. I would make a suggestion on a particular dish but there is nothing I like less than the other! Good drink menu, adorable atmosphere and of course great service. Oh don't forget out door seating in the cove!

Delicious choice in downtown Gig Harbor. Impressed by their tea selection. Disappointed that they didn't have hash browns, as they are a popular breakfast restaurant. A little cramped, but the food was worth it. The wait was short on a friday, server and host were very helpful and polite. Although no one told me their names. Overall a good little breakfast spot.

  • Faith B.

Food is pretty good but would like to see some healthier options. Very large portions and limited vegetarian options for my friend. Nice to sit on the water, service was on the slow side for Sunday lunch. May have to come back and try breakfast.

The best breakfast place I have been to in my life. Brilliant location, great atmosphere, perfect service, very clever menu, amazing smells, and incredibly tasty food. I came 2 days in a row I liked it so much. If I am ever in the area I will be back.

Amazing food (especially the stuffed biscuit!). Amazing location/view on the water and cute nautical decor. Rich, not too sweet hot chocolate with house made cream. Love the menu descriptions... All mouthwatering. Excellent, friendly service. We will be back!

  • Justin W.

Amazing food, awesome service, and great view. The food is unbelievable, I mean, it will make you rethink every great meal you have ever had. It is not just simply good, it is down right the best food I've ever had at any lunch or breakfast establishment. The deck is not overly crowded or anything like that, it was a nice place to eat, the view is good, the customer service was great. Gig Harbor is a moderately expensive place to get a good meal, this is undoubtably the best place to eat in town and is priced the same as any other place in town to causally get a meal. I will be back for sure.

Excellent new breakfast restaurant in Gig Harbor. The food is reasonably priced around 10-14 dollars a plate and the food is amazing. Lots of variety and unusual combinations that will surprise you. Fresh biscuits, in house made hot chocolate, stuffed biscuit breakfast sandwiches are a must try, and of course the traditional eggs or waffles. The service is great and the location cant be beat, right in downtown quaint Gig Harbor Washington. I will return!

This little restaurant is in a great location with great views. Went for breakfast with my friend while vising Gig Harbor. The service is great, the people are friendly and even though it was quite busy the food comes out quickly. The food is on the fancy side and I am a bit of purist when it comes to breakfast. I had the french toast which was very good, however I thought the pear compote was unnecessary and made the dish a little too sweet. My suggestion would have been some kind of berry compote to cut the sweetness a bit. My friend had the waffle and I enjoyed a section of it too. It was good too. Her only complaint was the bacon brittle, which I didn't try being a vegetarian. She felt the pieces were a little large and might be a tooth issue for some folks. They have multiple syrups and each dish comes with its own flavor. I liked mine but my friend thought hers was a little too spicy. Overall a good choice.

  • laura m.

Good food , actually great food, but the wait is not nice and the service could be better. Last Sunday they told me it would be 20 mins for 4 adults and two toddlers for breakfast. Not too bad but we were actually seated 1 hour from when we put our name down. Someone should have told us what was happening 15 mins in. We will go back because the food is delicious but we are looking around to find another good spot with better service.

Sunday March 1st, a beautiful winter day that caused a whole lot of people to have spring fever! We tried to eat outside on the large deck but just couldn't deal with the breeze, although others seemed content to sit in the sun. Food (indoors) was great, and innovative! Food was delivered fairly quickly considering how busy the place was. My only complaint, and it's an important one, is having to wait way way too long for a coffee refill!!! Customers drink coffee, with their breakfast...alot of coffee! Don't wait staff walk around with a coffee pot anymore???

Love this place! I dream of the French toast. It has a custard filling and is served with the best warm sauce and homemade whip cream. So good

I cant say enough about this place. The food was all amazing. They have cinnamon rolls with bacon inside and biscuits with sausage inside. Really interesting and original menu that made me want to try everything. I will go back and try. I dont think I have to say anything else. Oh and really nice view of the water.

Amazingly beautiful Spring day for lunch on the patio and Netshed No. 9 delivered. Their breakfast and lunch options are spot on. Today was the Croque M. sandwich with salad and both were fresh and delicious. Sandwich was not greasy and the salami was paired perfectly with the cheese, basil and tomato. Fresh brewed iced tea and a pup friendly patio = perfect lunch! Have tried the stuffed biscuit, chowder, BLT and ricotta pancake on previous visits and each one holds its own, just depends what you are in the mood for. Great peeps, awesome soundtrack, welcoming setting and yummy grub, what more could a girl ask for? Parking can be tight, but there is ample street parking up above the lot and great scenery for a short walk. Looking forward to the next Chef's battle to check out a new experience at this little spot!

Best food we had on our trip to the Northwest. The Best chicken and waffles. My son could not put down the biscuits and gravy. You have to try the buffalo milk! By far the best place to eat in Gig Harbor. Make sure to not skip the fresh jelly. Make sure to eat outside and enjoy the view.

Great way to end a Saturday morning workout at bebettergym.com . I earned every calorie so I don't feel even a little guilty eating their awesome cinnamon rolls and stuffed biscuit!! Beautiful view and great food.

Hands down one of the best breakfasts in Gig Harbor. I love the peanut butter and jelly waffle. And the cinnamon rolls are fantastic. It's small so go early unless the weather is nice and then there is plenty of room on the deck.

  • Matthew C.

Probably 4.5. Tasty creations, beautiful view, all kinds of good stuff going on here. Some of the best french toast and pancakes I've had for a bit. Everything is put together quite well, and service was quick and attentive. Definitely 4.5.

  • Bibi V.

The view is great and their food presentation definitely makes it look appetizing. Unfortunately the food didn't deliver. Out of our group of 6 nobody really enjoyed their meal. Flavor wise it doesn't stand out but it sure looks pretty. The service was ok, it took a little long to get seated but it was busy so it's understandable.

Excellent place, I can't imagine how you could have a bad experience here. I've been wanting to try this place since I moved to Gig Harbor a year ago, and finally tried it this morning. I'm glad I did. The cinnamon rolls were delicious. Take a while to review the menu, there's a lot to take in. It's nice to find a quality place like this in my new hometown! Seriously, I think the negative reviews are planted from other local businesses that are threatened by a quality establishment.

Told chef the breakfast was to pretty to eat! Try the Chimnechuri and avocado! Delicious food, hilarious dancing chef, Stevie Wonder and Sinatra serenades. Did I mention the boats and water view?

I have dreams about their biscuit sausage breakfast thing. I think we need to go tomorrow and find out what the name of it is and order 10 to go! Skip their bloody mary though it's not very good.

This place is an adorable historic net shed building. Quick story about the fast and friendly wait staff (They really make you feel like "family"!). Our adult daughter was visiting from out of town and I was taking a pic of her and my husband. Our waitress offered to take our picture AND another came and moved the table around and cleared items off it so they wouldn't show in the picture! How very sweet!! Their brunch menu has an upscale, gourmet twist which is unique and delicious. However, they also have the most delicious skillet of cinnamon rolls to which you can add amazingly affordable "sides" for kids or adults who want simpler fare. They also have a fantastic deck over the water that offers superb and up close views!!

Sorry, but we were bigger fans of this place when it was the Red Rooster. We took some good friends there and were disappointed with our meals. Why they don't offer a fresh fruit plate or include some type of fresh fruit with your meal is hard to understand. What we all had was good, but far from writing home to Mama about. Amazing food I've read. Are you kidding me? Adequate food would be a better way to describe Netshed No. 9.

  • Mikel M.

Great location, unique menu, decent quality yet flavorful food, bad service. Had chicken n waffles, waffle wasn't crispy neither was the chicken, but flavors were nice, tomato made the dish. Tried the stuffed biscuit n gravy w/ sausage, biscuit was a bit dry but it was tasty. I would recommend other breakfast places over this one, but I would try it again. Really 2.5 stars, but will give 3.

Great food, great view, really good service. Will be a new favorite. Quintessential NW. Perfect breakfast or brunch spot. Can't wait to go back and try something else. On the water. Outside and indoor seating. Not your typical breakfast fare.

This has been a favorite place of my wife and mine ever sense it opened. Today was just ok. My son had the French toast and he loved it. I had the BLT and was disappointed. I have had this sandwich here before and it was amazing, but not this afternoon. I'm not sure what happened, but this was not as I remembered it last time. Today it was all bread. It's called a triple decker, but not much bacon. Most of it was crumbled like they were using up the leftovers and ran out. I had to take out the center piece of bread, just so I could taste the bacon and the wonderful tomato jam. This has always been a five star place, but today I give it three stars. I think because they closed in a hour, they got lazy and didn't want to make more bacon. I wish they would have just asked if I wanted something else. This is my first not up to par meal here, so I hope it was a fluke.

This is a great place! We love coming here on a sunny day and sitting on the gorgeous deck with our pup. The only reason I haven't put it as a 5-star is because we have trouble finding vegetarian options on the menu. The staff have been great about offering us vegetarian versions of items on the menu -- but twice now the dishes have showed up at the table with meat on them! All of that being said -- still a favorite of ours.

Food. I'm a regular, I'm in love with this mom and pop shop breakfast/lunch joint... I come here probably once every other week or so for brunch. I've tasted everything by now, and love it all. They even got me to try my first ruben sammich, and it was darn tasty. My usual meal includes cinnamon rolls for the table, and for me the sausage biscuit (my favorite), with a side of perfectly cooked eggs over medium. Which I'd like to add, cooked eggs are usually my measuring stick. Frankly, I can't remember the last time I went to Tanglewood or Sunset etc ... and got my eggs without having runny whites. I just tasted a new item the other day, skillet biscuits with tomato jam and it was amazing. Basically you can just put that tomato jam on everything, and call it a day, it's that good. They've got a cast iron waffle with a not too spicy spiced syrup that will change your outlook on life. Service. Amazing staff. I chat it up with the waitress' and owners often, they are always super friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere. A unique view of the harbor actually, light and airy inside even though it's a cool older building. In the warmer months, I hang out on the deck outside. The view is gorgeous.

I really wanted to give this more stars. We went there for brunch and we were seated immediately out on the deck. The outdoor seating area was great however the service was very, very slow. We kept having to pull other people to get things like water and utensils. The waitstaff was super friendly but we just never got what we needed. The menu looked great. I ordered a scramble with eggs, chorizo, and potatoes. The potatoes were super under cooked and the cheese in the scramble was in giant globs I had to pick them out because it was just a huge chunk of cheese. It was too bad because they use beecher's cheese. The chorizo was delicious though. My friend ordered the ricotta pancake and it was really good. I really wanted to like this place because everyone told me how great it was but honestly it was average to me. I might try it again but honestly I wasn't blow away.

French toast was creative and the bread was executed well, but the pear compote was over powered by orange zest. The sausage tasted good, but looked like cheap pre-cooked from the freezer. Over priced for what we got, but they have to make money on limited seating and a small parking lot. Won't be back.

We love this place!!! We always bring out of town guests here, fabulous food, location and service, the best part is our big Newfy can come too.

We visited with another couple and their baby on a Saturday afternoon and decided to eat outside. We grabbed brunch and it was delicious! I got the french toast and the cinnamon rolls for the table, both of which were excellent. They accommodated our special requests both to customize our food and to feed our friend's child. Be wary if you eat outside though, as we got sunburned pretty quick! There are few restaurants in Gig Harbor like it, so definitely stop by.

Great atmosphere down in the harbor next to parks. Food is fresh and they put a great spin on brunch classics. We got the hash, stuffed biscuit and shared a bowl of clam chowder. One of the best chowders we have ever tried.

Love the atmosphere, and service was amazing. I had such a hard time narrowing down my breakfast selection, but I did. We will be back soon, I want to try absolutely everything on the menu!!

Had the pleasure of enjoying brunch with my husband and another couple at Netshed No. 9 yesterday (28 Feb). First, I want to say we did have a substantial wait (about 30-40 minutes), though we were told that at the time we put our name in. The dining room is very small...probably seats maybe 20 people (just a guess), though they do have a substantial deck with seating. However, while it was a beautiful sunny day, it was breezy and being right on the water, it was too cold to sit out there. They also don't take reservations. Having said all that, the wait was well worth it. I had the chicken and waffles, which while quite different from what I am used to with this southern dish, was delicious. The waffles were crispy and instead of the typical fried chicken, they had grilled or baked chicken thighs. The dish was liberally drizzled with maple syrup. Traditionally chicken and waffles are also served with country gravy but Netshed No. 9's rendition sand gravy was a wonderfully light take on this traditional country fare. The rest of my group had the Hash which was perfection (I tasted my husband's dish). All the servings were good size and I was definitely full at the end of the meal. We will be coming here again soon...while we live in Poulsbo, to me it is worth the 40 minute drive to have brunch once or twice a month.

Took my daughter here on a breakfast date and I could not have asked for much better. First off.... the cinnamon rolls are just WOW. Now add bacon rolled up into them and well I might have just entered into a different world in which all things sweet and salty come together. 13 year old daughter had the sausage biscuit and was over the moon. Absolutely perfect. I had an omelet that could have fed us both plus the rest of my family. Portions are huge (plan to take some home). Service is excellent. Right on the water so the view on a foggy morning is epic. Breakfast all the time. This place is truly wonderful.

I love coming to this restaurant! The French toast is amazing, we always order second! I now make it at home, and our children love it! We ave had lunch and breakfast here, all times have been fantastic. The deck is lovely and the service is fantastic!!! It's a perfect spot to eat in the Harbor.

Love being able to sit on the deck and enjoy watching the boats go by. Their food is delicious! My husband is crazy about their fresh cinnamon rolls. My go to is the free-ta-tas or the ricotta pancakes. Seriously, I didn't know pancakes could be this light, fluffy, and delicious! Servers are all very nice and kind here. The pace is a bit slower, especially during the brunch hours on the weekend. So sit back, relax with some iced tea or coffee, and enjoy! Parking is super easy and convenient here, if for some reason the lot is full there is an abundant amount of parking on the street. The hours are a bit different, I believe that they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

One of the best breakfasts my husband and I have ever had! We started by splitting a little pan of bacon cinnamon rolls, which you MUST try if they are available. The Mr. had their stuffed biscuit, which was buttery, huge - the size of two fists - and came smothered in a bomb.com red gravy. My chicken & waffles, garnished with chimichurri (I know, right?!) were an absolute delight. Despite being stuffed, we ordered a "buffalo" milk to go. YOLO.

My husband and I went to Netshed 9 after hearing about the skillet cinnamon rolls. I'm not normally a "cinnamon roll" kinda girl, but if it comes in a skillet and is bigger than my face, I'm probably gonna order it. The funny thing is, we didn't even get the massive cinnamon rolls. My husband got Chilaquiles, which was our favorite breakfast on our honeymoon in Mexico. And, at Netshed 9, they were DELISH. The tortillas were so fresh, the only thing that would have made this dish top of the line was the addition of some chicken or protein of some sort. Yum. I had a delicious Free-Ta-Ta (proceeds benefitted breast cancer research, I believe, har har har) and it was amazing as well. Everything is very fresh and kind of fancy, so it's totally up my ally. Throw some goat cheese in my breakfast, and I'll sing your praises for days. They also had some amazing iced coffee drinks, which I'm a sucker for. I can't remember what mine was called, but it had cinnamon in it... so it had a bit if a spicy kick. Loved it. Oh, and if you're lucky (and smart) enough to visit on a warm, sunny day -- sit on the patio. It's a gorgeous setting -- totally serene and relaxing. I can't wait to go back. This time, I may even try the infamous cinnamon rolls!

Loved it! Went here for brunch with my grandpa a few weeks ago and I'm still thinking about it, so had to write a review! We built our own breakfast by ordering off the "sides" list (he's a pretty plain eater and the menu intimidated him a bit). To my surprise, we built a less expensive meal than anything on menu, which is already fair. Service was friendly and the ambience was sweet and clean. Even though it was packed, we were able to hold a conversation which can be challenging for the hard of hearing. Great water view - excited to go back!!!

This is my new go to place! Great food, great location, great deck over looking harbor. Will be interesting when the cold weather comes back. As there doesn't seem to be much room inside. Recommend everything on the menu! Even the coffee is by local roaster! The only down side if you want to nit pick is the closing at 4pm... Would be a five star if had longer hours. Oh, and this place has FINALLY been able to sell beer and wine. Local rumor is this is the 'dry' part of town... that's why early closing, etc. Go figure!

We love coming to the Netshed for breakfast/brunch. My husband's favorite on the menu is the French Toast, which he keeps going back to. My goal is to try everything on the menu at some time or the other! I have tried the BLT, which is like none other. The last time I went, they had a special Ruben"esque" sandwich that was excellent. I have had the Fritata, which I totally enjoyed too. It's hard to find something that doesn't delight. We love going on a sunny day because we like eating out on the deck overlooking the harbor. The indoor seating area is pretty small. I am concerned that after weather turns colder it will be tough to find a table when going here on an impulse, which is typical of us. We have but one suggestion, and that would be to remain open seven days a week. They are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday, which happen to be the days we are most often in Gig Harbor, so we really have to think about going on other days just to eat here. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Service is excellent.

  • Brennor B.

My previous BLT visit was a disappointment. After servers telling me that it was aberration, I tried again. The BLT was twice the size of the last one and was GOOD! Will definitely order again without skepticism!!!!

One of my pet peeves is to visit a restaurant washroom and it's filthy! This was the case at Net Shed No.9 this a.m. Washrooms need to be inspected hourly! Nice way to set the tone for a meal! I'll add that this was the beginning of a day....

Just finished lunch at Netshed No. 9 and what can I say... It's DELICIOUS. As I generally do when I visit a new restaurant I ordered a variety of dishes off the menu. Today I sampled the frittata; which is made with leeks and goat cheese and is topped with the BEST tomato jam I have ever had the pleasure of tasting (rumor has it the jam will soon be available for purchase by the jar!), and the waffle which comes with lovely whipped butter and scrumptious BACON BRITTLE. Yummy. The price is right. The location is perfect. Parking is easy. Go there. now. What are you waiting for???

  • Stacie K.

Come here with a big appetite for comfort food! These guys really go over the top on almost everything. Bacon maple cinnamon rolls (on special), a hot chocolate that is divine and unlike any other you will get in the Harbor, and a ricotta pancake that is big enough to wear as a hat ... it's all really delish. I have been twice and we have yet to find a meal that isn't really, really good. The only two things that would be negatives ... there are really no healthy menu options. So if you are watching what you eat, this may not be the spot for you. And there is a strange smell inside. Both parties I have been with noticed it. It may be the old church pews they use as seats - kind of a mildew smell. Not a super pleasant way to start your meal. But once your nose adjusts and the food comes, it gets better. Oh - and the view isn't bad either!

I came here with a colleague of mine for lunch today. I love the atmosphere when you first walk in. Very light and airy. We were immediately greeted by the hostess who sat us right away and asked if we wanted drinks. The menu is very limited, but looks like many good choices. I had the BLT which was yummy. You had a choice of salad or chips and I chose salad. The dressing was bland though so that made me sad. The service was very prompt and friendly which is hard to come by these days when dining out in Gig Harbor it seems. There are a few negatives: The parking is limited, but it's what to expect for a downtown Gig Harbor location. The menu is limited and I was disappointed there was only one vegetarian option on the menu. Most things were smothered in cheese or dairy as well which for me is hard to handle since I don't normally eat it. I will definatley return as it's a good option for lunch. I would love to try their breakfast soon because those choices looked amazing.

Stopped in this morning for breakfast. We have mixed reviews. Not a complaint, but it was quite busy, so we waited 20 minutes for a table. Once seated, the poor server had so many new tables that it was hard for her to keep up. I ordered the waffles and I would recommend requesting the syrup on the side just to make sure you like it. My fluffy, thick waffles were drenched in the spicy syrup which I didn't care for. The server was very gracious and brought me new waffles with regular syrup. The replacements were thin, hard waffles that seemed like they came out of an eggo package. Oddly the chicken and waffles meal had the same spicy syrup, and it complimented the meal. Overall it wasn't a terrible experience, but we won't be returning.

Not a fan of this restaurant at all! It was hard to find. There is no sign indicating where it is. It's at the end of a parking lot. The service is horrible. My family and I were quoted an hour and fifteen minute wait which was understandable since we were a rather large party. The hostess advised us to walk around town, to check out the farmers market and that she'd call our cell phone once a table was ready Sounds cool right? Forty minutes later, we were bored and starving! We decided to check back early and to our surprise, the restaurant was basically empty! The staff scrambled to get us our table and once they did the horrible service just continued. Our waitress was quick but never around. We had to ask multiple times for basic things such as water, napkins, coffee and the bill. The menus were cool, the food tasted great and they are child and dog friendly. The view from the patio was beautiful as well. However I would never recommend this restaurant. If you do decide to go, call and make a reservation!

Great food. Great location if the weather allows you to sit on the deck. The parking spots are too narrow. No soap in the bathroom. Heard a lady returning an iced espresso drink because of the curdled milk in it. The servers are nice, but seem very green and disjointed. Had to send my iced coffee w a "splash of cream" back twice because it was pure iced cream w barely a splash of coffee. Had to ask other severs for help because ours was always busy off doing other things. After receiving our food had to wait a couple minutes after grabbing someone else to get us utensils. Bottom line: Food is great. Location is really good, but they need a manager.

This is a wonderful little place to have breakfast or lunch. I especially enjoy taking out-of-town guests there as we can sit outside overlooking the bay and watch the boat activity. It gives them a great feel of life in Gig Harbor. The menu is somewhat limited, but so far everything I've tried has been excellent!

We decided to pay a visit to Netshed No.9, turned out to be a very good decision. The 4 of us arrived for brunch, got a table kinda in the kitchen and were greeted by Zachary. He talked us into a pan of cinnamon buns, 8 mini buns in a cast iron pan, good, but not noteworthy. Our brunch consisted of the Stuffed biscuit, the Sausage burger, Reubenisque panini and the Rio Grande Scramble. To drink we ordered a hard cider, lemonade, hot chocolate and a Pepsi. The Stuffed biscuit, is a big home made biscuit with a spicy link sausage nestled in the center, covered with a red gravy. It gets a 5 outta 10, I would have preferred a good traditional sausage gravy and the sausage cut up or ground inside, but it was still good. The sausage burger was great, spicy with egg, bacon, cheese and a sweet ketchup, a side of sea salt and vinegar chips and my plate was clean! The Reubenisque panini with a chop salad both sported Beecher's cheddar cheese with blue cheese gracing the salad also. Just a well made, very tasty, good sized sandwich and a salad that works perfectly. The Rio Grande Scramble looked delicious with peppers, black beans, guacamole, cheese and hash browns. Alas, I didn't get to taste any as they disappeared rather quickly. Zachary was a spot on waiter and we didn't have to ask for anything. Everything was served hot and fast, and our Pepsi glass was never empty for long. Being a newly opened restaurant there were just a few bugs to mention. The bathroom lacked seat covers, a few wall lights lacked covers, and the walls were a bit barren needing photos or decorations, but all very minor things easily overlooked while enjoying the good eats. There is finally a new restaurant on the harbor waterfront that deserves your consideration, give The Netshed No.9 a try I doubt you will be disappointed.

Very good new spot for breakfast and lunch in Gig Harbor. The menu is somewhat limited based on the city regulations, but the food was fantastic! I am big on service, and the service here was wonderful. Prices are okay, definitely good for the size of portions that you get. This will be a place that we return to.

The key to the Netshed experience, IMHO, is you must understand what you are going to get BEFORE showing up. If you want/expect that classic, full breakfast plate: 2 eggs, bacon/sausage, hash browns, toast/pancake, you will be disappointed, big time. The Netshed #9 is a "fancy-schmancy" breakfast, where you get single items as your main order--like, say, a waffle...that's it, a waffle. Or french toast, etc. It's a fancy waffle though--they make a big deal that they're baked on 100 year old waffle irons. But everything else is extra. You have to order eggs, bacon, etc on the side if you want them. So if you want a full plate from the get-go, look elsewhere. If you want the "Manhattan, NYC" experience, try the Netshed. It kind of makes sense. The owners also own Brix25, the excellent local upper-end restaurant, so it stands to reason that the'd make their breakfast place kind of upper class. Overall, the service was okay to good, not stellar like we get at Brix25. Food, although a la carte as mentioned, was quite good to very good. What they cook, comes out well. You simply must be ready to pay extra to get a full plate, if that is what you like.

Decided to venture over the bridge and give this place a try. We were very disappointed to say the least. The food was cold and lacking flavor. The service was poor and the older man with tattoos was just plain rude. We won't be visiting or recommending the net shed to others.

I believe the rating should reflect value, creativity, and uniqueness. Netshed No. 9 has it in spades for all categories. This is not an ordinary restaurant. If you want a typical dining experience in Gig Harbor, go to Kelly's (a regular staple for us) or Tides Tavern for the food you are familiar with because they change the rules here. This isn't stuff you'll find elsewhere or make at home. The breakfast/lunch menu is served until 4 and the waterside deck is enjoyable. When you get the menu, take time to look at it. Enjoy the water view. Sip a little water. There is lots to consider. I ordered chicken and waffles because it was a different item I'm not familiar with. Then I found out the chicken and waffles here will not be a chicken and waffle dish replicated anywhere on the planet. The crispy waffle layered with grilled thigh meat drizzled with a slightly sweet soy/Worcestershire sauce and mixed in slaw was a sensory delight. A beautiful balance of flavors. Other dishes at our table were also creative variations of items we might find elsewhere but offered pleasant surprises. A tostada dish (forgot the name) with black beans, cilantro, and other savory goodies was light and flavorful. The tostadas themselves were a little chewy, probably because they were freshly made. A corn cake dish was a different take on regular pancakes. I've rated restaurants five stars before that were of good quality at reasonable prices. As good as they were, they were more often just good execution on dishes you can find at a number of places. This is so unique and such a different dining experience, it warrants special consideration. Trying a new place should bring about a bit of adventure. The best way to describe this is, expect the unexpected. In all likelihood, you'll enjoy it. Not the easiest place to find, but worth it. A small driveway leads to the restaurant about 100 yards west of the main Gig Harbor dock. Try it out.

I'm not one to write many reviews but, I need to write a review on this establishment. I had no expectations the first time going in. No signage, small and no "fluff" of some other restaurants. I had the waffle with the candied bacon and spicy syrup. What a treat! My husband had the sausage in a biscuit, which looked so good. I didn't get to taste his, as he gobbled it up too quickly! I wasn't willing to share mine, as it was equally delicious. I agree with some people and their reviews.. The menu is limited, just like other unique cafe and bistro's. The decor isn't fantabulous, as of yet. If you're looking for eggs, bacon and toast, don't go to the Net Shed! There are lots of diners around for that. When I want to treat my palate or treat a friend, this is certainly the place! Awesome service, and location. Being so newly opened, they're working on all the details. My second visit was better yet. Frittata for me (delicious) and the waffle for my husband. Again, what a treat! I like unique, I appreciate what they offer and look forward to visiting again in the near future.

Excellent food made with fresh ingredients, served by a very friendly staff in a waterfront setting. It was a cold foggy day outside but inside it was cozy. We were seated near the open kitchen and were able to chat with the cook staff as well as Thad the owner. We loved the cinnamon buns, the bowl of clam chowder was a perfect blend of clams, potatoes, bacon, broth, cream and croutons, that is a meal unto itself. But everything on the menu looked good so we also ordered a pastrami panini. It was delicious with pickles and other goodies inside. My husband really liked the coffee, I had a cup of their hot chocolate, it was amazing. Portions are generous, we took home the leftovers and had them for dinner. We'll come here again next time we're in town.

This little place just opened in Gig Harbor. There are no signs and as far as I can tell, no address (yet). The owners are Thad and Katie, who own Brix 25 in GH. The Netshed No. 9 is open from 8 to 4 and serves breakfast and lunch. Seating is limited so be prepared to wait. Seating on the deck overlooking the harbor is not yet available. Service is great with both Katie and Thad making each guest feel welcome. The menu is original with sixteen items, along with extras such as a skillet of warm cinnamon rolls, or sides of bacon, sausage, hash browns, etc. Katie wrote the description of each item and it shows! I had Chicken and Waffles, which were incredible. Sweet and savory; the syrup has a bit of heat and vinegar which some people might not like. I did. The chicken was pan-roasted thighs, served on top of a warm, crisp waffle, some chimichurri slaw and slow-roasted tomatoes. I've never had anything to compare with this dish. My wife had the Free-ta-tas, made with leeks and pancetta and goat cheese and cilantro and tomato jam and o'brien potatoes on the side. She loved it, but could not eat it all. Our guest also enjoyed the waffle, made in a cast iron waffle maker. Topped with whipped cream, bacon brittle (candied bacon pieces) and the spicy syrup, which is made with local honey (and vinegar). She loved it. The coffee was excellent. This little place overlooking the harbor used to be a net shed (don't ask me what a net shed is). It is located behind some other businesses along Harborview Drive. Just ask a local for directions, or follow the crowd of people you see walking down the wooden stairs near the man-made (but beautiful) creek. Go now, today or tomorrow at the latest before the entire Northwest discovers Netshed No. 9.

Sorry to say the only stars I can give the Net Shed are for the view - my husband and I have eaten here for breakfast and were disappointed with both our meals. Decided the other day to give them another chance and arrived mid-afternoon for a bite - only to realize there are NO SALADS and NO APPETIZERS on the menu. Not to mention the most limited wine selection we have ever seen anywhere - Only one red wine (a blend) but there is champagne on the list??? Even the view couldn't convince us to stay.

Best brunch in the harbor, and a great deck to boot. Excellent food, excellent location. Best pancake I've ever had. Everything I sampled from the other plates was delicious. My only minor gripe is that the bacon is just ok; too thin and not cooked crispy enough for my tastes. Love the personal touches like the homemade preserves and quality butter. Hope Netshed No. 9 is here to stay!

My family needed a bite before a flight home out of Seattle. We were thinking more of a lunch place but the kids prevailed and we chose Net Shed 9 for brunch. Everything was excellent. The hot chocolate, the wine (Rhone red, local Chardonnay), the service and the food. I highly recommend this place.

I have totally mixed feelings about this place. One of the very best locations on the harbor and without a doubt, the very best outside deck. The food? Totally inconsistent. I have eaten here well over a dozen times with perhaps half those times being memorable and the other half not so good. The wait staff which is young, are always personable but can't say the same thing for the older, angry, non smiling lady. On one occasion ordered a glass of wine and it was most apparent it had gone south,...called this to the attention of the young wait person and he immediately brought me back another glass which was quite good. He agreed with me that what I was given, had come from a non corked open bottle from the night before. There menu is quite different and any of the egg dishes are really very, very good. Can't say the same for some of their other creations as they appear to be too creative and totally miss the point in being savory good food.

I had breakfast here for the first time today and love it!! The restaurant is situated right on the water. I sat on the patio this morning and the view and ambiance was very pleasant. It wasn't that crowded, but it is also a weekday. I ordered the ricotta & sourdough pancakes...wonderful! It came with bacon and potatoes mixed with grilled peppers. The flavor of the potatoes was not my favorite, but I can see how others may like it (taste is so subjective). If you are in the mood for a traditional breakfast, then this is not the place to go. The food options are a little more fancy. They do, however, offer a kid's menu with more of what you might expect for breakfast. I thought the price was reasonable ($9.95) for the meal. The only drawbacks were that there was no sign to indicate where it was. It is set back from the street where the Red Rooster used to be. If I had not ever been to the Red Rooster, I would have never found it, and the water tasted funny. Other than that, I will definitely go again...I'll just drink coffee!

Fantastic breakfast spot. Unique menu offerings and some seriously comforting comfort food. Stuffed biscuit is the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had. Or, if you're in a more traditional mood - their ricotta pancakes are heavenly. They also have a very generous mimosa if ordered... two thumbs up.

Our 1st visit here earned this place 5 starts. The service & lunch was beyond exceptional !! Today we made it a point to come & have breakfast here on our way to federal way. The breakfast was a let down on both entrees. I had the stuffed biscuit which was okay but nothing to brag about . My husband had the chiliquieties ( lol, spelling ) which was soggy, lacked consistency of beans, meat & cheese throughout. In fact he only took 3 bites & decided it wasn't worth the carbs & we requested a refund. Our service was friendly but bare minimum as far as coffee refills & never came to the table to check in on us. We'll definitely come back & hope for a better server & choice selection. At this time they haven't earned a full 5 starts.

We watched the cinnamon rolls being made, and reflectively, I reallllly wish we had ordered them. Positives first: 1) I hate Orange Juice, but I love mimosas. As crazy as it sounds...BUT - holy crap. Their mimosas make me a changed OJ lovin woman. I don't know what they do, or purchase, but their mimosas are THE best I've ever had. And trust me, my liver has written it's congressman over 100 times begging for me to stop drinking them and for a pardon. NO DEAL LIVER. 2) The kids pancakes are a steal @$4. They are large and plentiful, and my toddler ran a train on them. 3) OMG the service. The atmosphere. Everything - it's amazing. You can't not be happy being here. Negative: 1) We ordered the chilaquiles to share - and to be honest, there was little to no chorizo, which is my favorite thing in the world and only reason we ordered it. I was pretty disappointed with this dish, but since our server, and dayummm...those mimosas, were so delicious, it didn't matter enough for me to give this place anything less than 4 stars. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

Beautiful location. We ordered ricotta pancakes, pb&j waffles, stuffed biscuit, and the hash. Everything was excellent. Friendly staff. Didn't get the bacon cinnamon roll but that looked awesome. Highly recommend this spot. Breakfast with Parv

The Netshed never disappoints. We have only been there for breakfast, but look forward for a lunch visit one day. Staff is very friendly, food is made fresh and served without unnecessary delays. You can't beat the view!! Always order the cinnamon rolls!!!

Definitely a must! Don't let the simple menu fool you, they do an exceptional job at some rather standard dishes. Nice staff and good seating outdoors if you're lucky. This is a great spot for the foodie that's looking for something unique. My only criticism is that it can get loud.

Decided to venture over the bridge and give this place a try. We were very disappointed to say the least. The food was cold and lacking flavor. The service was poor and the older man with tattoos was just plain rude. We won't be visiting or recommending the net shed to others.
